Workplace Assessor
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm
Location: Home based with travel to client sites as required
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience

As a Workplace Assessor, you will play a key role in helping businesses create inclusive and accessible workplaces. Working with a diverse range of clients, you will conduct workplace needs assessments to identify barriers employees may face due to disability and recommend practical adjustments to support them in their roles. Your expertise will ensure employees receive the support they need while helping employers build a more inclusive working environment.

Main Objectives
Working with a growing portfolio of clients and as part of passionate and high-quality team, the successful applicant will provide pan-disability workplace needs assessments to help enable talent. This involves assessing the workplace barriers and recommending adjustments in a report to clients as well as case management to support with expediting the recommendations (where needed).
Whilst predominately a home-based role the successful applicant will be expected to travel on occasion to client sites.
We offer the ability to qualify as a CDMP (Certified Disability Management Professional) in a growing part of the business.
Specific Responsibilities
- Conducting workplace assessments (either remotely by Teams or face to face at employer site) within a contractually agreed Service Level Agreement (typically 10 working days)
- Make cost effective recommendations to meet the employee disability need, and which ensures the employee can fulfil their role.
- Outline recommendations within an accurate and fully detailed report, with justification for each of the recommendations made. Provide costs where appropriate to do so.
- Liaise with suppliers and providers to determine costs of adjustments.
- Determine sources of funding (such as Access to Work) and provide information in report.
- Issue of the workplace assessment report within a contractually agreed Service Level Agreement (typically 5 working days from assessment)
- Expedite recommendations through timely case management, including ordering of adjustments and follow up of soft adjustments with employer/employee.
- Updating of team database to ensure accurate reporting of contractual activities and timely billing of assessment and case management.

Requirements for this role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of Equality Act and Disability legislation affecting employees.
- Strong analytical skills – able to identify risks (e.g. personal, financial, legal, timescale/pace, etc.) and determine appropriate actions, provide advice and guidance. Escalate any issues or delays as appropriate.
- Strong computer skills - able to maintain and complete accurate records, including training records and case notes, on the appropriate company systems.
- Ability to draft accurate and detailed workplace adjustments reports. Ability to write reports at a high level; a good standard of written English is required.
- Able to work within contractually agreed SLA’s and under pressure in a commercially driven and fast paced environment.
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with client partners and stakeholders who have a remit around the support of neurodiverse staff (e.g. Managers, HR Business Partners, Facilities Management, Occupational Health, Health and Safety, IT and Assistive Technology Management, etc.).
- Able to be aware of their pressures and be able to deal with these stakeholders sensitively and with influence.
- Able to be proactive in working closely with the wider team to provide accurate disability related advice and guidance (including individual cases).
