Disability Assessor
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm
Location: Home based with requirement to sometimes travel to client sites
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- Working with a growing portfolio of city clients and as part of passionate and high-quality team, the successful applicant will provide workplace assessments to help enable talent. This involves assessing the workplace barriers, recommending adjustments in a report to clients and providing a case management service.
- Whilst predominately a home-based role the successful applicant will be expected to travel on occasion to client sites. An ability to commute to London (or nationally) on these days would be preferable.
- We offer the ability to qualify as a CDMP (Certified Disability Management Professional) in a growing part of the business.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
The assessor will:
- Undertake workplace assessments to identify the barriers an employee faces in the workplace due to their health or disability.
- Provide cost effective workplace adjustment solutions within a report.
- Provide case management services to oversee and implement the adjustments for the employee.
- Enable the employee to use their talent to remain in employment with the adjustments provided.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Understand, demonstrate, and promote the Company’s Genetic Code.
- Assist with induction and training of new employees.
- Manage confidential data in line with the UK GDPR.
- General Office Duties.
- Contribute ideas and suggestions to continuously improve the Customer Experience.
- Assist with colleagues work during absences.
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Set and lead the strategic direction of the business.
- Be a role model to the business and lead with motivation and a positive attitude to success, encouraging teamwork and to think outside the box.
- Any other request made by a Manager or Director.
- To comply with Data Protection Legislation and Information Security requirements, such as ISO 27001.
- To ensure commitment to impartiality, confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of information.
- Adhering to policy, procedure, regulatory, customer and standard requirements relating to quality, information security and environmental management systems.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE
- Maintain complete and accurate records, including training records and case notes, on the appropriate company systems.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with client partners and stakeholders who have a remit around the support of workplace adjustments (e.g. Managers, HR Business Partners, Facilities Management, Occupational Health, Health and Safety, IT and Assistive Technology Management, etc.).
- Be able to work and travel independently to employer sites.
- Provide an excellent customer journey and experience for the employee, line manager and all other stakeholders.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office 365 including MS Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Ability to coach, mentor and encourage others to promote wellbeing and self-care.
- Knowledge of Equality Act and Disability legislation affecting employees.
- Strong neurodiversity knowledge and an experience of delivering strategy coaching in this area.
- Able to maintain accurate records using a bespoke database.
- Able to identify risks to contract or to employees including safeguarding.
