Occupational Health Advisor - Kingston, London
Contract: Permanent, Part-Time or Full-time hours available (minimum 1 day per week on site)
Location: Hybrid to Kingston, London
Salary: £38,000 - 42,0000 per annum, depending on experience
SUMMARY
We have an exciting, new opportunity for a clinician to join our Occupational Health, multidisciplinary team, working for a single client.
A minimum of 1 day per week is required to be on site at Kingston, London and the other days can be home based. Although this role is 1 day per week on site we can accommodate full time working mainly from home with remote case management. So we are happy to consider full or part time.
You will work with a team of supportive OH colleagues, with access to regular team meetings, training & development days.
Onsite, there is a modern, Occupational Health clinic and you will work within a supportive and inclusive environment.
The role will also include the opportunity to deliver health promotion activities including health checks and advice.
As a site based OHA you will work closely with client HR and H&S teams and proactively engage with employees in the workplace.
This position is part of a larger national team of OH professionals, who all work closely together as a team.
You will also have access to discounted staff shop on site, providing you with access to the client brands.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- Practice within the scope of the NMC professional practice and Code of Conduct and to work according to qualification, experience, and competency.
- The delivery of the Occupational Health Service to Unilever and to ensure that the provision of the occupational health advice is at all times of the highest standard.
- To ensure clinical standards of best practice are followed and company policies and procedures are adhered to.
- To fully utilise company and client IT systems in the performance of duties.
- To undertake end to end case management and health promotion activities as required.
- To act as an ambassador and promote the Occupational Health services available.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- To provide professional occupational health case management advice for our client expediting an early return to work for absent employees.
- Provide and maintain appropriate advice on health issues, health promotion and health education to employers and employees.
- Work autonomously and as part of the Medigold Health multi-disciplinary team to ensure that a satisfactory level of service is provided to the client their employees achieving current service level agreements.
- Ensure that CPD and other training needs are undertaken to ensure compliance with NMC requirement for continuing registration. Maintain evidence in support of Revalidation.
- Ensure that your familiar with the requirements of all client contracts and Aide Memoirs.
- Maintain, store and handle medical records in accordance with Medigold-Health Data Protection Policy and GDPR requirements in order to preserve and respect client and employee medical confidentiality.
- Liaise with other service teams regarding both client and patient queries.
- Complete all clinical administration in accordance with Medigold-Health policies and procedures and to ensure that activities are completed within agreed timescales and Service level agreements.
- To participate in Clinical Audit activities as required.

- Provide support with administrative tasks in clinic location as required.

- Assist with colleagues work during absences
- Attend meetings and training sessions as required
- Maintaining registration and NMC revalidation
- To comply with Data Protection Legislation and Information Security requirements, such as ISO 27001.
- To ensure commitment to impartiality, confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility of information.
- Adhering to policy, procedure, regulatory, customer and standard requirements relating to quality, information security and environmental management systems.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE
- Occupational Health degree/diploma & NMC registration.
- Demonstrable equivalent experience within Occupational Health departments.
- Experience of attending, presenting, and hosting client Wellness and health promotion days.
- Experienced skills and competency with case management activities undertaking complex referrals.
